Shardul Thakur Demands Balance Bat and Ball: In IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants will face Punjab Kings on 1 April. Is the impact player just a means of entertainment?
Shardul Thakur further said that the bowlers just want the pitch to be prepared in such a way that there is a balance in the game and it is not just one-sided, where the batsmen come and just beat us and score a lot of runs. Because we just want a fair chance in the game. Talking about the impact player rule, Thakur said that we have seen the rule change and the impact player rule being implemented before. Every team is playing one more batsman during the chase or suppose you are batting first, then everyone is going according to this depth. Everyone has the option to change the batsman and call the bowler or vice versa.
The impact player rule is just for entertainment and it changes the game a lot, but scores of more than 250 are happening not only because of the impact player rule but also because of the way the pitch is being made.
