MS Dhoni’s Rare Outburst During CSK vs GT Clash

Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, widely known for his composed demeanor, showed visible signs of frustration during an IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans. Dhoni appeared agitated when some players did not follow his instructions just before Ravindra Jadeja’s over.
Commentators revealed that Matheesha Pathirana and Shivam Dube failed to respond to Dhoni’s guidance, prompting the rare display of emotion from the veteran captain. Ironically, the next delivery saw both fielders redeem themselves—Pathirana caught Shahrukh Khan at short third man, and Dube took a sharp catch to dismiss Sai Sudharsan at backward point.

MS Dhoni reflects on CSK’s poor season

Despite ending their campaign with a dominant win, Chennai Super Kings finished at the bottom of the IPL points table for the first time in history. Speaking after the game, MS Dhoni admitted that early-season decisions—especially chasing due to dew concerns—backfired and affected team confidence.
“When we started the season, the first four games were in Chennai out of the first six. We chose to bat second thinking about the dew, but I felt the wicket was better in the first innings. Batting under pressure later cost us our momentum,” Dhoni explained.
