India will kick off their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign against Bangladesh.
As always, India enters the tournament as one of the favorites. The Men in Blue have been in excellent form in white-ball cricket, reaching the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
However, India will be without star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who couldn’t recover from a back injury in time for the tournament. Interestingly, India will be the only team taking five spinners to the competition.
India has been placed in Group A, alongside hosts Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. All of India’s group-stage matches will be played in Dubai.
India’s campaign begins against Bangladesh on Thursday, February 20. They will face arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, February 23, followed by a match against New Zealand on March 2 to conclude the group stage.
