Yadav had dedicated India’s victory to the Indian Armed Forces, expressing solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. The match was played amid heightened political tension, with calls in India to boycott the game.
No handshakes were exchanged between the teams, sparking further controversy. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initially emailed the ICC regarding Andy Pycroft but later included a complaint against Suryakumar for his statements.
